EASE2PAY PRIVACY STATEMENT

Ease2pay B.V. offers you the possibility to use various Ease2pay functionalities through its Ease2platform. These include a simple way to perform transactions in the field of fueling or parking. 

You can access the Ease2 platform through your browser, or through one of our own app or through apps from other providers (Powered by Ease2pay). Also, you can make purchases from providers who have joined us (Sellers) or use third-party parking services (Parking service providers)

In order to provide our products and services, and those of third parties, we process certain personal data about you. In this Privacy Policy, we explain which personal data we process from you, the purposes for which we do so, and how you can exercise your rights under the privacy regulations. As far as it concerns processing by third parties, we would like to refer you to the privacy policies of these parties.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We therefore encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically so that you are aware of any changes. 1. To whom does this Privacy Policy apply?

This Privacy Policy applies to you when you use Ease2pay, and purchase products or services from us or the providers we partner with through that platform.

2. Who is the (processor) responsible for processing my personal data?

Ease2pay is the (processing) controller for the processing of your personal data within the Ease2platform.

To the extent that, in addition to Ease2pay, others process your personal data for their own purposes within the Ease2platform, they are, in addition to us, each independently (processing) responsible. There is differentiated responsibility. Ease2pay is not responsible for the privacy or cookie policies as implemented by these other (processing) controllers.

Other app providers: Powered by Ease2pay

We cooperate with providers of other apps, who can also offer Ease2pay functionalities in their own apps. You can find an overview of these providers here ease2pay.com/vendors. When offering the Ease2 functionalities, you should think, for example, of the possibility of easy mobile payments. You will recognize the Ease2pay payment functionalities in the apps of these providers by our Ease2pay logo.

We also work with service providers who are affiliated with us and who offer their products and services within Ease2pay (Sellers). We also work with service providers in the field of parking services (Parking Service Providers). 3. What personal data is processed within the Ease2pay?

What personal data we process from you depends on how you use Ease2pay and what products and services you purchase.

Creating an Ease2pay account

We offer you the opportunity to create an account so that your data is stored within the Ease2platform and you can easily use the Ease2pay functionalities and those of our Vendors and Parking Service Providers. Through your location, you can easily see which Vendors and Parking Service Providers are in your area.

You can create an account in several ways: through Facebook, through Google and through your e-mail address. When you create an account, you will have access to a personal profile page where you can enter and modify personal data about yourself. If you create an account, we will process the following personal data about you (some fields of which are optional):

  1. Name: 
  2. Contact information such as your e-mail address, phone number, residential and/or delivery address 
  3. Name of the organization where you work 
  4. Login information such as username and password 
  5. Gender and date of birth 
  6. Data from the device (tablet, phone, computer) with which you use the
    Ease2platform, such as your MAC address or your IP address
  7. Depending on how you register, your account information from Facebook or Google
  8. Your location (GPS) 

Once you have created an account, we offer you the opportunity to add information about your vehicle to it as well. Linking your license plate number allows you to use it when you use parking services, for example.

When you use Ease2pay through your account, we process the data listed below per functionality in conjunction with your account information. We process your data in an overview that you can access afterwards within the Ease2platform.

If you prefer not to create an account, that is also possible to use a limited number of services within the app.

Payment

With the functionality Ease2pay we offer you the possibility to make payment transactions easily. When you have an account you can use our digital wallet function. If you do not have an account or do not wish to use the digital wallet function you can pay via credit card or IDEAL.

When you use the digital wallet function, in addition to the data you provide to create your account, we process your banking information (bank account number, credit card data), transaction data, the amount of your Electronic Credit and your spending limit and the date and time of your purchase as well as the location. We enable you to view a record of transactions you have made with Ease2pay.

If you do not use the digital wallet feature, we offer the possibility to make the transaction through your credit card company or bank (iDEAL).

Parking

When you use the parking service, we process the data from your account in combination with the data necessary in the relevant municipality or parking facility to perform the parking services. This includes at least your location, your arrival time and end time, the parking duration, the parking product, your license plate number and any other necessary data about your vehicle or about the location where you park (for example, terms and conditions of the provider of this location).

Refueling and other purchases

When you use the refueling and scan & pay services, we process the data necessary to complete the transaction between you and the Vendor. This includes at least the identity of the Seller and its location the products you purchase, their price and quantity, and the time and date of the purchase.

If you have an account, we can link this information to your account. That way, you will have insight into the purchases you have made. In addition, we may share certain account information about you with the Seller so that it can make targeted offers to you. This may include information you have provided about loyalty programs (including a customer number)

Personal data we process when we contact you

When you use Ease2pay you can always contact us through our customer service and through social media. We then process the personal data you provide to us when you contact us.

Data about your use of Ease2pay.

When you visit our websites or when you use our Ease2pay aps, we process data about your browsing behavior, such as the type of device you use to visit our websites or use our apps, the browser type, the date and time of the session and information about the parts of our website or apps you visited. 4. For what purposes are my personal data processed?

We process your personal data so that you can use the functionalities of Ease2pay as optimally as possible. More specifically, we process your personal data for the following purposes:

4.1 To give you access to Ease2pay, manage your account and allow you to use the desired functionalities of Ease2pay. 

4.2 To enable Vendors with whom we work to provide the services you have requested to you. 

4.3 To improve our services, including the effective posting of information in our Ease2pay apps and websites. 

4.4 Internal management, security of the Ease2platform and fraud detection. 

4.5 To maintain contact with you, provide you with information and handle your questions and requests. te handelen. 

4.6 To handle complaints, disputes and proceedings. 

4.7 To comply with legal obligations and to protect our rights and interests. 

4.8 To create visitor statistics and user profiles so that we can understand the behavior and preferences of our (potential) users and we can tailor content to their interests. 

4.9 For direct marketing purposes. 

5. How are user statistics compiled and processed?

We track how users use Ease2pay apps and website, which pages they visit most often, where they come from, what they click on and which browser they use. This information allows us to compile visitor statistics. We use automatic tools for this purpose to look at general trends in the use of the Ease2pay and social media and to gain insight into the behavior and preferences of our (potential) users. We may add to this data information we receive from third parties with whom we work or from public sources. We further process this data in aggregate form. This means that we create reports for business purposes in which the information is no longer traceable to individuals.

We use the results from our statistical research to evaluate Ease2pay and improve our services. We may also further process data we process as part of statistical research for our direct marketing activities. We will only do the latter if you have also consented to receive newsletters, offers or other marketing messages

We share the aggregate reports with Vendors so that they can track how many users have ordered products and services from them through Ease2pay during a given time period or to measure the effectiveness of an offer.

6. Will your personal data also be used for direct marketing purposes?

When you create an account in Ease2pay, we ask you to give us permission to use your personal data for direct marketing. These messages come from us, and may relate to our own products or services, but also to products or services of third parties, such as the Vendors we work with.

We send our messages through various digital channels, such as email, Ease2pay push notifications and social media. In order to provide you with targeted offers through any of these channels, we may use automated tools to analyze your personal data. For this purpose, we use the personal data we already have from you, whether or not supplemented by data obtained through statistical research and data we receive from third parties or from public sources. This allows us, for example, to alert you to promotions in your area or offers that are of interest to you based on your purchasing behavior.

Without your consent, we will not send you any direct marketing messages through any of the aforementioned digital channels. Should you - once you have given your consent - no longer wish to receive messages from us, you can easily unsubscribe at any time. 7. Who has access to your personal data?

In addition to our duly authorized employees having access to your personal data, we may also provide third parties with access to it. These parties include the following:

We may share your personal data with the other app providers to the extent necessary for Ease2pay functionalities to function within those providers' apps.

Providers of products and services (Vendors).

When you purchase products or services from the Vendors, they will have access to the personal data necessary to fulfill your request. If you link data from your loyalty card of one of the Vendors to your account with Ease2pay, the relevant Vendor may process your transaction history of these products and services for the adjustment of your point balance.

For parking services, we provide the relevant parking service provider with the data necessary to carry out parking management. This may include your license plate number, date and time, parking duration and the location where you are parked.

Ease2payThe Seller also receives (aggregated) statistics from us, which enable it to ascertain, for example, how many users checked in with it during a certain period of time and how many users use its loyalty program.

Hosting providers and other processors

To provide our services, we use third-party services, for example for the hosting and management of the Ease2pay apps and website. We have entered into processor agreements/processor agreements with these service providers under which they may only process personal data in accordance with our instructions. We also require these service providers to adequately secure personal data and protect it from security incidents.

Acquiring or purchasing parties

If Ease2pay B.V. is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of all or part of our assets, the merging or acquiring party will have access to your data to the extent necessary for the acquisition or merger.

Police/judicial/other government authorities.

Ease2pay may be required to disclose your data by law, court order or direction from an authorized regulator or government agency. For example, we may be required by the Internal Revenue Service to provide your personal data and details of your parking behavior.

8. What is the basis for processing your personal data?

We process your personal data in order to provide the services you have requested. The basis for data processing can therefore be found in the execution of the agreement we have with you and to which our General Terms and Conditions apply. Furthermore, we have a legitimate interest in processing your personal data for e.g. statistical purposes, so that we can permanently optimize our services, and we may process your personal data because we are legally obliged to do so, e.g. under certain tax laws.

Consent

For sending direct marketing messages, we ask for your consent. We also ask for your consent when we want to process certain data from your phone such as location data and App installation ID (for push notifications), this is unique per installation. If we process your personal data based on consent, you can withdraw this consent at any time. Please keep in mind that if you do not give us consent for certain processing or if you withdraw your consent, you may not be able to use all functionalities of Ease2pay and you may not be eligible for all offers and promotions from the Vendors.

9. Are cookies used?

We use cookies within the environment of the Ease2pay apps and on our websites. Because we want to guarantee your privacy and improve the user-friendliness of your visits to Ease2pay, we think it is important that you know how and why we use cookies. 10. Will your personal data also be processed outside the EU?

It may happen that we engage third parties who process personal data on our behalf (processors) who are based in a country outside the EU, where the same level of protection of personal data may not apply as in the Netherlands. We have therefore concluded agreements with these processors in which they undertake to implement appropriate safeguards (so-called EU model contracts), or ensure that these suppliers can rely on another appropriate instrument to guarantee the protection of personal data.

11. How will your personal data be secured?

We ensure that your personal data is adequately secured so that your data is protected against unauthorized use, unauthorized access, modification and unlawful destruction. We take appropriate security measures for this purpose and have also made agreements with our suppliers in this regard.

12. How long will your personal data be kept?

We will retain your personal data for no longer than necessary for the purposes stated in this Privacy Policy, or for as long as required by law. We will retain your personal data for up to two years after you cancel your account or up to two years after you last took a Service from us. When required by a specific law, we may keep your data longer.

13. How can you exercise your rights?

Under privacy regulations, you are entitled to access, correct and delete your data at reasonable intervals. You can access and modify much of your data via the Ease2pay apps or your phone's settings. You can also email an itemized inspection, correction request to us at support@ease2pay.nl. 

We will in principle respond to such request within four weeks. In the event of a deletion request, we will delete the personal data in question as soon as possible, unless and to the extent that the law obliges us to retain that personal data or there are (other) pressing reasons that oppose deletion.

14. Right to complain to the Personal Data Authority

If you believe that your privacy has been violated, you can file a complaint about this with the Personal Data Authority. More information can be found on the website www.autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.
